The F2 generation results from crossing two F1 White Widow plants. Because White Widow is a hybrid of two distinct landraces (Brazilian sativa and South Indian indica), the F2 generation introduces Mendelian segregation. This means recessive traits hidden in the F1 generation—stemming from the original landrace genetics—may re-emerge, increasing phenotypic and genotypic diversity compared to the F1 or parent strain.
The F2 generation of White Widow x White Widow retains the core 50% indica, 50% sativa balance but reveals a wider range of genetic expressions due to recombination. Approximately 25% of the offspring will resemble the stabilized White Widow phenotype (homozygous dominant), 50% will show intermediate traits (heterozygous), and 25% will express recessive traits from the Brazilian sativa or South Indian indica lineage (homozygous recessive). This segregation introduces variability in terpenes, cannabinoids, and morphology.
Most plants (50-60%) maintain White Widow’s compact, medium-height structure with tight internodes, flowering in 8-9 weeks (averaging 8.5 weeks). About 20% lean toward the Brazilian sativa influence—taller, with stretched internodes and a 9-10 week flowering time—while 20% favor the South Indian indica, appearing shorter and bushier with an 8-week bloom.
The terpene profile diversifies: 60% retain the classic myrcene-caryophyllene dominance (earthy-spicy), 20% amplify pinene (pine-forward) from the sativa lineage, and 20% emphasize limonene (citrus-bright) or deeper myrcene (herbal-musk) from the indica side. Flavors range from the standard woody-spice to sharper pine-citrus or richer earthy tones, depending on phenotype.
